Common Materials Of Electronic Handbrake Motor Magnet

Neodymium (NdFeB) magnets
Neodymium motor magnet is an outstanding permanent magnet material, known for its extremely high magnetic energy product, which can exceed 400 kJ/m³. This makes NdFeB suitable for high-performance motors, such as high-speed motors and applications requiring a compact structure. It not only provides a strong magnetic field but also enables efficient energy conversion in a relatively small volume, making it ideal for motor designs that require high power density and high efficiency.

Samarium Cobalt (SmCo) magnets
Samarium Cobalt motor magnets exhibit excellent corrosion resistance and thermal stability, with a Curie temperature typically above 300°C. This makes them particularly suitable for motor applications in high-temperature environments and where long-term stable performance is required under special working conditions. Although the magnetic energy product of SmCo is not as high as that of NdFeB, its stable performance at high temperatures and corrosion resistance make it the preferred choice for many special environments.

Ferrite magnets
Ferrite motor magnets is a relatively low-cost permanent magnet material with good thermal stability and corrosion resistance. While its magnetic energy product is not as high as NdFeB or SmCo, it is widely used in medium and low-power motors that are cost-sensitive and have lower stability requirements. Ferrite magnets are suitable for applications that do not require extremely high performance but demand economical and stable performance, such as household appliances and low-power industrial equipment.
- Once magnetized, magnets have a strong attraction force. Improper handling can lead to accidents, such as fingers getting pinched between magnets or between magnets and iron objects, and magnets shattering due to high-speed collisions, causing injuries. Use caution when using magnets.
- Magnets can attract iron filings, other magnets, or magnet fragments, affecting their use or assembly. Maintain a clean environment.
- When bonding magnets, avoid oil, dirt, or other contaminants on the bonding surface, which can reduce adhesive strength.
- Before bonding magnets with adhesives, confirm the reliability of the bond. When designing, consider the type of adhesive, bonding conditions, weather resistance, quantity, and bonding strength.
