Thermal protection is addressed through an integrated temperature control solution, typically using PTC elements within the motor system. This helps limit temperature rise during repeated EPB activation or long holding periods, reducing the risk of thermal degradation and improving long-term reliability.
For environmental protection, the magnet surface uses a multi-layer coating system consisting of electroless nickel, a ceramic conversion layer, and an outer fluoroelastomer seal. This combination provides resistance to corrosion, moisture, dust, and high-pressure water cleaning, meeting IP6K9K protection requirements.
The SUV electronic handbrake motor magnet is developed in line with ISO 26262 functional safety requirements and supports ASIL-B system-level targets, ensuring dependable operation of the EPB system under all normal driving and parking conditions.
