Particle size distribution is carefully monitored to achieve uniform compaction during forming. The magnet is shaped through injection molding with a binder system constituting 15–18% of the mixture, followed by a controlled debinding process to remove the binder gradually.
Sintering is performed at 1260°C under an inert atmosphere, with precise temperature ramping and dwell control to achieve a uniform microstructure and optimal magnetic properties.
The magnet features a double-arc design developed using CAD/CAM techniques, which ensures a precise fit with the motor stator. Air gaps are kept below 0.05 mm to maintain consistent torque transmission and low vibration. NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) testing confirms vibration amplitudes remain under 0.03 mm and operational noise stays below 60 dB under nominal load conditions.
Surface protection is applied via an anti-corrosion coating compatible with automotive environments, providing resistance to humidity, dust, and mild chemical exposure. Dimensional tolerances are controlled within ±0.03 mm, and every magnet undergoes 100% automated inspection with machine vision systems to ensure uniformity and defect-free surfaces.
These magnets are suitable for MPV starter motors where stable magnetic flux, low NVH, thermal resistance, and high dimensional precision are critical. They are compatible with standard 12V or 24V automotive DC motor systems and designed to support reliable engine starting over extended service life, typically exceeding 500,000 start cycles.
Additional engineering considerations, such as thermal expansion compatibility with stator materials and magnetic flux density distribution, are optimized to reduce wear on the armature and maintain efficiency over repeated cycles.
